Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Israel Adesanya has had an incredible career as a mixed martial arts athlete, competing 116 times across boxing, kickboxing, and MMA, with a winning record. As a two-time UFC middleweight champion, he has successfully defended his title five times in a short period of time.

However, his recent loss to Sean Strickland has shocked the martial arts world, leading Adesanya to consider taking a break from competition. Although he acknowledges that he is nearing the end of his career, he has expressed his intention to return to fighting in 2024.

In his own words, Adesanya stated, “I know I’m at the tail end of my career. I know I’m going to be lonely when I’m done with this. So I’m doing everything I can. After that, I realized it’s not about quantity but quality. When I fight, I know I’m going to fight (this year). I don’t know when I’m going to fight, but when we fight it’s going to be quality. It’s not about quantity.”

With only a few fights left in his career, the 34-year-old Adesanya faces the decision of how he wants to conclude his legacy in the sport, whether by pursuing specific opponents or championship titles.
