Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Francis Ngannou hits as hard as a Ford Escort.

No one knows exactly what that means, but back when “The Predator” was on good terms with the UFC, the promotion loved to tout his fearsome punching power. The UFC Performance Institute (PI) has machines designed to absorb impact and record how much force is applied to a blow, and Ngannou has long been the record holder and de facto fighter since 2017. He has reigned as the power punch king.

no longer.

In recent episodes, JRE MMA Show, UFC color commentator Joe Rogan spoke with top welterweight contender Sean Brady. The submission ace hasn’t set any punching records as we know of, but according to the pair, Francis Ngannou’s record has been eclipsed by rising middleweight talent Joe Pifer. It is said that

“That mother says some very nasty things,” Logan said of Pifer. “You should tell everyone he broke Francis Ngannou’s record with that punch machine.”

“They weren’t trying to give it away.” [the record] To him,” Brady replied.

Mr. Logan continued. “They didn’t want to register, but I don’t know why. Why weren’t they willing to give it to him?”

“I don’t know,” Brady replied. “The man said something was wrong with the machine…he [Pyfer] I did it about 3 times! Three times in a row. ”

“Oh, so he didn’t want to believe it?” Logan finished with a laugh.

Tune up the machine and get ‘Bodybagz’ back in front of the machine! Pifer may not have the resume of Ngannou, but the 27-year-old talent has proven his hand inside the cage and is a knockout. 8 out of 12 wins were prevented. He will next compete in his first main event slot against Jack Hermansson at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada in February.

As for Ngannou, he’s still seeing how hard he can hit with the lace-up gloves on. He will fight Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia in March and is expected to earn $20 million. Perhaps that payday (perhaps unofficially) will ease the pain of losing the record?
