UFC flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev was released by UFC CEO Dana White after his win over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in Manchester. There were talks of Mokaev possibly joining PFL after White’s comments, but Mokaev dismissed the rumors and stated his goal of becoming a UFC champion.

Mokaev’s dismissal might be connected to his surprise attack on Kape at UFC 304, which Kape alleged was planned. Mokaev acknowledged that the attack was intended to convey a message to Kape about bullying, revealing that he had been headbutted by Kape in Vegas before a previous fight.

While White is unlikely to reverse Mokaev’s release, the 24-year-old fighter has the chance to make a name for himself in local and global competitions. Alternatively, a successful series of wins could pave the way for Mokaev to return to UFC competition down the line.
