Undefeated fighter Muhammad Mokaev may have a future with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) after completing his contract with the UFC. Despite his success in the Octagon, issues outside the cage possibly contributed to him not being offered a new deal by the UFC.

There were rumors linking Mokaev to PFL, which he denied. While PFL President Ray Sefo indicated little interest in Mokaev, PFL CEO Peter Murray had a more positive outlook. Murray believes that having talents like Mokaev in the Flyweight division could be advantageous for PFL down the line.

Even though Mokaev hasn’t committed to a new organization yet, his ambition remains set on vying for the UFC Flyweight championship. PFL currently lacks a Flyweight category, but Murray hinted at the possibility of establishing one by 2025, particularly if Mokaev opts to join PFL.

Murray sees Mokaev as a potential standout in the Flyweight division and envisions him as a potential leader in the division should it be introduced in PFL.
