Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry could be in the works, but an unexpected alternate match was almost on the table when Mike Tyson withdrew from his July 20th fight with Paul.

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s longtime business partner and MVP co-founder, shared on The MMA Hour that they discussed the possibility of a showdown between the Paul brothers, Jake and Logan, filling in for Tyson.

“We mentioned to Netflix that we could arrange for the two of them to face off on July 20th on their platform,” Bidarian disclosed. “Netflix viewed it as a huge event, but they felt there wasn’t enough time to promote it properly.”

Ultimately, the Paul vs. Tyson fight was rescheduled for November 15th, and Paul will now take on UFC veteran Mike Perry on July 20th at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Bidarian sees Perry as a suitable challenge to gauge Paul’s readiness for fighting a boxing legend like Tyson.

Although a specific date for the Paul brothers’ matchup has not been set, Bidarian is certain that it will happen down the line due to the competitive spirit and rivalry between the siblings.

With battles against Perry and Tyson in the pipeline for Jake Paul, and Logan currently holding the WWE United States Championship, the Paul brothers are keeping busy. While Bidarian didn’t offer a timeframe for the showdown between the brothers, he expressed confidence that it’s on the horizon.

Irrespective of the venue, Bidarian believes that a bout between the Paul brothers will be a massive global spectacle that fans are eagerly looking forward to.
