Nathan Rodriguez, an undefeated featherweight boxer, will be taking on Bryan Mercado at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds and will serve as a precursor to the main event featuring welterweights Jose Zepeda and Ivan Redkach. Both fights will be streamed live on DAZN (11 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. PT).

With a record of 15-0 and 10 knockouts, Rodriguez has made significant strides in his career under the guidance of trainer Eddy Reynoso. His father, Marv Rodriguez, who also serves as his promoter, is optimistic about Nathan’s continued improvement and potential breakout year in 2025.

Despite being only 20 years old, Nathan has already demonstrated his talent on a larger platform by defeating opponents like Alexander Mejia and Jose Saant. He has also competed in Costa Rica, in addition to bouts in the US and Mexico.

On the other hand, Mercado, boasting a record of 11-5-1 with 6 KOs, has faced recent setbacks, including a loss by stoppage to Jhon Bolano. The Ecuadorian fighter, now based in Las Vegas, will be seeking redemption in his upcoming fight against Rodriguez.
