Dana White’s Contender Series, Season 8 begins in less than three months.

Recently, the UFC matchmakers have been preparing for a summer return of DWCS, set to start on Aug. 13. Athletes and matchups have been slowly but steadily confirmed.

DWCS made its debut in 2017 with an eight-episode first season. Season 2 took place in 2018 with eight episodes, followed by a three-episode DWCS: Brasil. In 2019, DWCS expanded to 10 episodes, a format it has maintained since Season 3.

With each season, the number of signed fighters has increased. The show has already introduced notable UFC fighters like bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley, Maycee Barber, Geoff Neal, Ryan Spann, Sodiq Yusuff, Jamahal Hill, Taila Santos, Johnny Walker, Alex Perez, Bo Nickal, Jailton Almeida, Jack Della Maddalena, and Marina Rodriguez, among others.
