A fresh trial date has been scheduled for the UFC antitrust lawsuit that was first filed in 2014 by fighters such as Cung Le, Nate Quarry, and others. Judge Richard Boulware in Nevada has set the trial to commence on February 3, 2025. He mentioned that the date could be changed if a new preliminary settlement agreement receives his approval. The previous settlement deal, which aimed to compensate the fighters involved with $335 million in response to two antitrust lawsuits, was rejected by the judge.

The lawsuit alleges that UFC took part in a plan to obtain and retain monopsony power in the elite professional MMA fighter services industry. Even though the previous settlement agreement was turned down, there is still a chance for UFC and the fighters to reach a new agreement before the trial begins. If not, both parties will go ahead with presenting their arguments in court on the designated trial date.
