Max Holloway proves himself as a tough fighter.
Former UFC featherweight champion and rising lightweight contender, Max Holloway, revealed a video on Monday showcasing his epic fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 300. The video was shared on Holloway’s YouTube Channel. It includes Holloway and his team’s arrival at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, a friendly chat with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg during warmups, and captures Holloway’s immediate reaction right after his spectacular knockout of Gaethje.
Despite being ahead on the scorecards, Holloway invited Gaethje to the center of the cage in the final 10 seconds of the fight. They engaged in a fierce exchange, leading to a symbolic victory at the 4:59 mark of the third round with a knockout and securing the UFC’s “BMF” belt.

Reflecting on the fight right after, Holloway mentioned, “The last 10 seconds were for you. All week you told me, ‘Just throw it.'” He shared these thoughts over the phone from the backstage medical tent. “All week, I was punching him, he was hurting, but attacking an injured lion is risky. Every time I hit him, his eyes were intense. He had this fierce look, and he was like, ‘This is garbage.’ I didn’t want to take any unnecessary risks.”
Holloway is now a strong contender in both the featherweight and lightweight divisions, drawing the attention of UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria. During an interview on Monday on the Pat McAfee Show, Holloway likened his fight with Gaethje to “going through the gates of hell.”
