The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has unveiled the major matchups for its upcoming event. Francis Ngannou, a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) titleholder, is set to make his MMA return after his last fight against Ciryl Gane in January 2022. Ngannou, also known as “The Predator,” will take on PFL champion Renan Ferreira in a heavyweight showdown. In another headline bout, Bellator and PFL champions will clash as Cris “Cyborg” Justino steps into the PFL ring for the first time against Larissa Pacheco. The event, dubbed “PFL Super Fights PPV,” is scheduled for October 19, 2024, at an undisclosed venue.

The initial odds from BetOnline.ag position Ngannou as the favorite at -305, with Ferreira trailing as the +255 underdog. The featherweight title confrontation between Cyborg and Pacheco sees Cyborg as the -150 favorite against Pacheco’s +130.

After his last MMA contest, Ngannou ventured into professional boxing, engaging in matches against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, both of which resulted in defeats. Despite these losses, Ngannou intends to participate in another boxing showdown before concluding his combat sports career, with a return to MMA being eagerly awaited.

Meanwhile, Cyborg has been active in the boxing scene, securing knockout victories in the first and second rounds in her recent matches this year. In her most recent MMA bout at Bellator 300 in October 2023, she triumphed over Cat Zingano via first-round technical knockout. On the other hand, Pacheco is coming off a win against Marina Mokhnatkina by unanimous decision in the Featherweight finals at the PFL 2023 Championship.
