Michael Chandler had been eagerly anticipating a fight for nearly 700 days that never came to fruition. The former Bellator MMA lightweight champion, who last competed in late 2022 against Dustin Poirier at UFC 281, is finally making his return to the Octagon for a rematch with Charles Oliveira. This highly-anticipated showdown is scheduled to happen at UFC 309 on Nov. 16 in New York City.
Chandler is currently listed as the +200 underdog on Draft Kings, while Oliveira is the favored -245. Oliveira had previously emerged victorious against Chandler at UFC 262 in May 2021. Chandler took to Twitter to share his excitement for the upcoming fight, expressing that he sees it as an opportunity to gain a lot and has nothing to lose.
Ranked sixth, Chandler will go head-to-head against Oliveira, who boasts a record of 34-10, 1 NC.
UFC 309’s main event will feature a heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. Jones is the clear favorite at -410, with Miocic coming in as the +320 underdog.
