Dana White isn’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for Oscar De La Hoya. In a recent video posted on Instagram, De La Hoya continued his rivalry with boxing sensation Canelo Alvarez. He revealed his decision to attend the UFC 306 event at the Sphere in Las Vegas the same night as Alvarez’s upcoming match with Edgar Berlanga at the T-Mobile Arena. De La Hoya wasn’t impressed with Alvarez’s fight with Berlanga, calling it a “snoozefest” and showing his preference for UFC over boxing for that weekend.

By opting for the UFC event over a boxing match and showing support for Dana White, De La Hoya is clearly favoring the sport. De La Hoya and White have had public disagreements in the past, with White even suggesting in 2022 that they may never reconcile.

When questioned about De La Hoya’s possible attendance at UFC 306 during an interview with Grind City Media, White acknowledged the situation but stated that his team won’t be making any special accommodations for De La Hoya. While White expressed his admiration for Canelo and the importance of Mexican fighters in combat sports, he also emphasized the role they play in honoring their history and traditions.
