Oscar Valdez, the interim WBO world super featherweight champion, secured a victory over Liam Wilson in Glendale, Arizona. The 33-year-old Valdez faced off against the 28-year-old Wilson in a close and intense fight. Despite Wilson’s strong start with a record of 13 wins and 2 losses, Valdez with a record of 31 wins and 2 losses managed to assert his dominance early on. Valdez displayed his power with precise punches in the first round, setting the tone for the rest of the match.

Wilson put up a strong fight, but Valdez’s consistent performance proved too much. In the sixth round, a powerful uppercut showcased Valdez’s control over the bout. Ultimately, the referee ended the fight in the seventh round as Wilson struggled to keep up with Valdez’s pace. Valdez highlighted the importance of resilience and determination after the match, stating, “You might face defeat in boxing or in life, but the key is to return stronger.” Additionally, Seniesa Estrada claimed victory in a unanimous decision against Jocasta Valle, securing the title of undisputed world minimumweight champion.
