Paige VanZant and Austin Vanderford are a couple in professional mixed martial arts who openly discuss their relationship in public.
In a recent episode of the podcast Kikka** love story, the couple talked about the presence of jealousy in their relationship. ’12 Gauge’ mentioned that jealousy is not an issue in their relationship due to the open communication and trust they have for each other.
“I think a big reason why jealousy starts is a lack of communication and a general lack of trust where you don’t trust the person. Then you start to get jealous. It’s all like… If your phone suddenly starts ringing in the middle of the night, you’ll never notice because you know exactly who’s calling.”

VanZant has competed in 13 professional MMA fights and won eight of them. The 29-year-old also fought in the UFC, where she competed nine times and emerged victorious in five bouts.
’12 Gauge’ had her last fight in the UFC in July 2020, facing Amanda Rivas at UFC 251 in Abu Dhabi. The match was short-lived, as Rivas defeated her with an armbar submission in the first round.
Following that, VanZant transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing where she made her debut in February 2021 against Britain Hart. Unfortunately, she lost the bout by unanimous decision.
Her second BKFC appearance was in July 2021 against Rachel Ostovich, where she again lost by unanimous decision. Since then, the 29-year-old has taken a break from competition.
