Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Shortly after surviving an attempt to derail his boxing career, Jake Paul, also known as “The Problem Child,” has successfully navigated through another potentially damaging situation orchestrated by his adversaries.

On a recent episode of the Full Send Podcast, Paul found himself in a challenging position as the Nelk Boys posed probing questions about how fighters are compensated. The timing seemed suspicious given the Nelk Boys’ close relationship with UFC’s head honcho Dana White, whom Paul has been at odds with since entering the combat sports arena. The conversation delved into topics such as fighter payouts for his boxing undercards and the process of matchmaking.

Paul disclosed, “It’s a complex process. We receive countless fight requests, aiming to showcase emerging talents, bring in established names, and create crossover bouts like Uriah Hall vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. We ensure that fighters on our cards receive significantly higher pay than ever before. The compensation varies based on the fighter’s popularity, ranging from $40,000 to $1.5 million.”

The Nelk Boys questioned why there weren’t additional bonuses akin to those seen in the UFC. Paul explained that he doesn’t possess the financial muscle of the UFC and Dana White, underscoring his concern over the meager cut fighters receive from the colossal revenue generated by the multi-billion dollar organization.

He added, “We’re not a $6 billion operation. That’s my gripe – the UFC rakes in billions but only allocates 12% of the earnings to the fighters.”

The conversation then segued into contrasting the UFC’s more frequent fight opportunities with the potentially higher financial rewards. Paul noted that he also secures fighters to multi-fight deals, citing Amanda Serrano as an example, yet acknowledged that his roster and event volume pale in comparison to the world’s premier MMA promotion.
