In 1995, at Halloween Havoc, Paul Wight became the WCW World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Hulk Hogan at just 23 years old. After the event, Hogan played a prank on Wight by asking him to wear the title through the airport to show it off. Wight fell for it initially, being new to the wrestling scene.

It was Sting who informed Wight during a security check that he was being pranked and advised him to put the championship away. Wight realized he was the butt of a joke orchestrated by Hogan and even “Macho Man” Randy Savage, who found it amusing to watch him parading around with the title at the airport.

Despite his recent absence from AEW television, Wight is looking forward to stepping back into the ring. Whether he will have another shot at a World Championship remains uncertain.
