Jamahal Hill is preparing to bounce back against Alex Pereira. After facing a setback at UFC 300, where he was defeated by “Poatan” in April 2024, the former Light Heavyweight champion is focused on his upcoming fight. Hill was stopped with strikes in round one in the main event, marking his second career loss.
The fight at UFC 300 was Hill’s first appearance since recovering from a ruptured achilles tendon in 2023. Despite the disappointment of the loss, Hill made it clear that he does not harbor any personal animosity towards his opponent from Brazil. He took to his YouTube channel to address any misunderstandings, underlining that his rivalry with Pereira is centered on competition and financial incentives.
Initially scheduled to face off at UFC 303 on the same card, Hill had to pull out due to an injury. Pereira proceeded to defend his title by securing a second-round knockout victory against Jiri Prochazka.
