This upcoming Saturday evening in Las Vegas, Canelo Alvarez and Edgar Berlanga are scheduled to headline a pay-per-view card. Canelo is the favored fighter, but there’s a chance for an upset by Berlanga. However, the co-main event featuring Erislandy Lara and Danny Garcia might steal the show during the Mexican Independence Day weekend.
Danny Garcia is recognized for his counterattacking abilities and notable victories against top competition. Conversely, Erislandy Lara, often underestimated, showcases slick boxing skills and recent knockout successes. Both fighters have the capability to finish the fight early if an opportunity arises.
Despite Garcia’s higher popularity, I feel Lara has the advantage in this bout. While it could be a closely contested match, my prediction is that Lara will emerge victorious. Nonetheless, judges’ decisions are sometimes swayed by a fighter’s popularity, so Garcia might still receive the judges’ favor. Nevertheless, this showdown between seasoned professionals is anticipated to be the highlight of the weekend.
