Quinton “Rampage” Jackson believes that Jon Jones might be in for a tough match.

Jones was initially scheduled to defend his UFC heavyweight title against former champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 last fall, but had to pull out due to a pectoral muscle injury. However, Jones is gearing up for his comeback this year to finally take on Miocic.

Despite facing criticism, Jones is resolute in his decision to face Miocic, who has been out of the octagon for three years and without a win for four. Jackson, a former opponent of Jones, believes that this determination might not bode well for Jones.

Jackson shared his views on the JAXXON podcast, suggesting that Miocic could potentially hand Jones his first defeat. He highlighted that Jones’s fighting style might not be effective against Miocic given his height and reach advantages.

In response, Miocic indicated his readiness to face Jones and shared a strategy to unsettle the former light heavyweight champion.

Miocic stressed the importance of not allowing Jones to dictate the fight, as it could spell trouble for his opponent.

Reflecting on his own bout with Jones back in 2011, where he succumbed to a rear-naked choke in the fourth round, Jackson attributed the loss to his own mistakes and overconfidence.

While there has been no official confirmation, Miocic has hinted at being close to a comeback and having a verbal agreement for a showdown against Jones later this year.
