A notable achievement occurred at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship heavyweight division event in Los Angeles when Anthony “The Warrior of Christ” Garrett secured a remarkable victory with a 12-second knockout against UFC veteran Lavar “Big” Johnson during the Main Event at BKFC Fight Night: Los Angeles held at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, CA.

The event was broadcast live on The BKFC App.

Following this win, Garrett, with a 2-0 record in his BKFC career, set a new record for the fastest knockout in the division. He had previously set the record with a 16-second KO in his debut against John Orr at BKFC Fight Night: Kansas City in August.

Addressing the audience, Garrett confidently stated, “Heavyweight division, you’re on notice! Anthony Garrett is in the house — let’s go.” Johnson, now with a 2-1 record, hails from Madera, CA.

Bovar “The Gladiator” Khanakov dominated Ruben “Bad Boy” Warr in the Co-Main Event, winning by unanimous decision in their lightweight bout. Khanakov’s record improved to 5-3, while Warr, from Louisville, KY, holds a 2-1 record with a no contest in his BKFC journey.

Brandon “Stronghold” Conley from Chillicothe, OH, secured his second BKFC victory by defeating fellow unbeaten cruiserweight Keith “The Officer” Richardson. The fight was stopped by the ringside doctor after the second round due to Richardson’s significant eye damage. Richardson is now 2-1 in BKFC.

Impressive debuts were also seen as Chase Gormley made a strong entrance with a second-round knockout against Tyler “Red Bird” Sijohn. Gormley, a UFC veteran, registered four knockdowns before the referee stopped the fight at 54 seconds into the second round. Sijohn comes from Plummer, ID.

Danasabe “Papa Midnight” Mohammed from Napa, CA, achieved his first BKFC win with a spectacular knockout over Rodney Thomas just nine seconds into the second round of their middleweight contest. Mohammed also had a knockdown in the first round, moving his record to 1-2 while Thomas, from Glendora, CA, is now 0-2.

Ryan “Ryu” Petersen from Humboldt, CA, clinched victory in his BKFC debut by defeating Dan “Maxbet” Godoy by TKO in the welterweight division. The fight was stopped by the ringside doctor due to Godoy’s eye injuries at the end of the second round. Godoy hailing from Saskatoon, SK, and Hudson, FL, now stands at 0-2 in BKFC.

Michael “The Port City Soldier” Manno from Shreveport, LA, achieved parity in his BKFC record at 2-2 after a solid performance that included three knockdowns against Vinnie “The Mexitalian Stallion” Familari. The fight was called off at the end of round four. Familari from San Gabriel Valley, CA, now has a 1-1 record in BKFC.

In a thrilling one-round battle, Mike “Mighty Mouse” Hansen from Anaheim, CA, rallied from two drops to secure a TKO over Dom “The Bomb” Carey. The referee intervened with just 13 seconds remaining in a sensational first round. Hansen is now 2-0 in BKFC, while Carey, representing Troy, NY, is at 1-1.

“Savage” Steven Sainsbury from San Luis Obispo, CA, bounced back from a knockdown to defeat Paulo “Ze Doido” Games from Serra, Brazil, with a TKO in the third round of their middleweight debut fight, stopped at 1:26 in the final frame.

Cody Vidal from Huntington Beach, CA, sent Kevin “Cash Money” Sims to the mat five times, ultimately winning by TKO in the second round of their light-heavyweight battle, ending at 1:48 in the second round. Vidal now holds a 1-1 record in BKFC, while Sims from Rancho Cucamonga, CA, stands at 0-1.
