Ricardo Malajika had a remarkable win over Yanga Sigqibo in their junior bantamweight fight in South Africa, achieving a knockout in the 11th round. Sigqibo, previously having gone the distance with a world champion, couldn’t keep up with Malajika’s intense assault. Malajika displayed his talent with accurate jabs and strong body shots, dropping Sigqibo multiple times before finishing him off with a well-timed right hand. This win extends Malajika’s streak to six victories, improving his record to 14-2 with 10 knockouts. In another fight on the card, Chris Thompson secured a lackluster unanimous decision win over Alexandru Jur in a bridgerweight match. The fight was marked by excessive holding and grappling, but Thompson used his jab and straight left effectively to claim the victory. Despite the fight being uneventful, Thompson’s record now stands at 14-6-1 with seven stoppages. Other results from the undercard include wins for Snamiso Ntuli, Keanu Koopman, Juan Alberts, and Dean Promnick. The event was organized by Rodney Berman of Golden Gloves Promotions.
