Ryan Garcia faces another setback as he is no longer part of the WBC following his controversial remarks. The WBC president, Mauricio Sulaiman, took action after Garcia made racist and anti-Muslim statements on a live stream on Twitter. The public backlash on social media led to Sulaiman announcing Garcia’s expulsion from all WBC activities.

Sulaiman emphasized, “In my capacity as the president of the WBC, I am expelling Ryan Garcia from any involvement with our organization. We stand against all forms of discrimination. I am concerned for Ryan’s well-being as he has turned down our offers of support for mental health and substance abuse.”

In response, Garcia later clarified on Twitter that his comments were meant as a joke and expressed regret if they offended anyone. However, Garcia’s team has not provided any comments in response to inquiries from MMA Fighting.

This incident is the latest in a series of troubles for Garcia, including a positive drug test after a significant win in April and arrest on felony charges for vandalism in June.
