It has been reported that Ryan Garcia tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine, according to the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). This news was first revealed by Dan Rafael, who disclosed that two tests conducted on Garcia showed the presence of performance-enhancing drugs in his system around the time of his surprising win over Devin Haney. The samples were collected on April 19th, the day before and after the match with Haney in April.

Ostarine, as per the National Library of Medicine, is known for its usage as a performance-enhancing drug. According to the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the substance is recognized for its ability to quickly build muscle mass and its effects on testosterone and body fat levels. It is commonly associated with the bodybuilding industry.

Reports indicate that Haney’s father, Bill, is deeply disturbed by this recent turn of events. Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated quoted Bill Haney expressing his discontent, saying, “You’re trying to hurt my baby. We fought fair. We didn’t play dirty like that. Forget boxing, this is nonsense. I come from the streets. You’re afraid of Devin on a fair playing field. This feels like a betrayal. If I boast about doing it, then I shouldn’t use drugs.”

Garcia has maintained his innocence, stating on social media, “Everyone knows I’m not cheating. What can I say? If they found out before the match, why wasn’t this made public earlier? Why would they let me step into the ring under false pretenses?”

“I don’t even know where to buy steroids,” he added. “I rarely even take supplements.”
