Ryan Garcia, a prominent 140-pound boxer, is causing a stir in the boxing community. Despite his previous positive test for a banned substance before facing Devin Haney, Garcia confessed on the Fully Tilted Podcast that he was under the influence during their bout. He strongly refutes any allegations of using performance-enhancing drugs.

Garcia stated, “If I were using steroids, I would have been in much better shape.” He acknowledged consuming alcohol and marijuana daily in the lead-up to the fight, even partaking on the day of the bout. Despite being under the influence, he claimed victory over Haney.

Garcia’s win over Haney was met with controversy due to his failure to make weight and thus not being able to attain the title. Nevertheless, he surprised many by knocking down Haney thrice and coming out on top. Following the positive drug test post-fight, doubts have been cast on the fight’s outcome and Garcia’s future in boxing.

Should Garcia be confirmed to have Ostarine in his system and fail to clear his name, he risks losing his win, facing suspension, and being subjected to fines. This situation has put his career in limbo.
