Sami Zayn recently expressed his gratitude for The Briscoes, acknowledging their role in his success and how he wouldn’t be where he is today without them. He took to Twitter in response to a post commemorating the Ladder War involving El Generico, Kevin Steen, and The Briscoes, praising The Briscoes as one of the top tag teams of the past 25 years and in history. Zayn shared his feelings of missing Jay and his love for Mark.
In return, Mark Briscoe reminisced about the memorable moments they shared, where they battled fiercely, highlighting how these experiences were among the best in his life. He also expressed his affection for Zayn.
Tragically, Jay Briscoe met with a fatal accident in January 2023. His brother, Mark Briscoe, remains active in AEW/ROH and is currently holding the ROH World Championship, which he secured by defeating Eddie Kingston at ROH Supercard of Honor 2024.
