Kade Ruotolo has been added to the ONE 168 card in Denver. He will be defending his ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Championship against Mikey Moussi, as reported by Sports Illustrated.
ONE 168 is scheduled for September 6th at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, marking the organization’s return to the United States since May 2023. The event is set to showcase exciting matchups.
Moussi, the current ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion, is aiming to become the first two-division champion in his weight class’s history. Before this title fight, Moussi is slated to face Gabriel Souza at ONE 167 on Friday, June 7th, in a bantamweight challenge seeking revenge for his 2021 loss to Souza.
For Ruotolo, who will be making his MMA debut against Blake Cooper at ONE 167, this presents an opportunity to establish himself as a valuable asset in ONE Championship. With Moussi moving up three weight classes, Ruotolo is predicted to enter the bout as the favorite.
Another addition to the card is a 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai match between Liam Harrison and Muay Thai superstar Seksan Ol Kwanmuang. Similarly, Harrison will make his debut appearance at ONE 167 in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest against Katsuki Kitano.
Furthermore, ONE 168 will feature headline bouts including Stamp Fairtex vs. Xiong Jinnan and Jonathan Haggerty vs. Superlek Kiatmu9.
Fairtex, the reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion, will challenge China’s Jin Nan for the ONE Women’s Strawweight MMA World Title, aiming to secure a two-weight title holder status. Haggerty vs. Superlek signifies a showdown between two elite strikers, with Haggerty, the current two-sport ONE World Champion, vying for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title and the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing title against the reigning champion, Superlek.
