Shakur Stevenson has successfully made weight ahead of his WBC lightweight title defense against Artem Harutyunyan. The fight is scheduled to be aired on ESPN this Saturday, July 6th at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT. Stevenson weighed in at 134.1 pounds, while Harutyunyan tipped the scale at 134.8 lbs. The bout will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

During the face-off, both fighters appeared confident. Harutyunyan tried to show off by striking a double biceps pose, but Stevenson remained composed and unfazed.

The event will also feature a fight between WBC super featherweight champion O’Shaquie Foster and #1 contender Robson Conceicao, along with a match-up between lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis and Miguel Madueno. Davis and Madueno got heated during their face-off, requiring security intervention to calm the situation.

In the opening fight to be televised, lightweight contender Abdullah Mason will go up against Luis Lebron in an eight-round contest.

This fight will mark the end of Stevenson’s contract with Top Rank, paving the way for him to become a free agent. Stevenson is optimistic about securing a deal with another promoter and aims for a dream fight with Gervonta Davis to catapult him to pay-per-view stardom, although the likelihood of this scenario coming to fruition remains uncertain.
