Takeru’s feet may never be the same.

The Japanese kickboxing sensation engaged in a grueling, five-round showdown with ONE Championship flyweight titleholder Super Rec in the main event of a promotional event in Tokyo this past Sunday, and the repercussions of Super Rec’s punishing leg kicks were still evident on Takeru’s left leg.

Takeru took to social media to share images of his heavily discolored leg, which can be seen below.

It’s uncertain whether Takeru sustained any serious injuries, but it seems apparent that his leg bore the brunt of multiple strikes, akin to being pounded by a meat-tenderizing machine. Considering he went the distance against “The Kicking Machine” in a 25-minute battle, it’s almost as if he did just that.

Despite displaying flashes of ferocity throughout the contest, Takeru ultimately couldn’t overcome the technical mastery of Super Rec’s kicks. This marked Takeru’s inaugural appearance in ONE, a K-1 superstar who has claimed titles in three weight classes within the organization.

This victory represented Superlek’s second successful defense of his title, as he competes across kickboxing and Muay Thai divisions within ONE.
