Jey Uso has adopted a new moniker.
Enthusiasts have incorporated “fireflies” into Jey Uso’s entrance by using their phone flashlights while chanting “Yeet.” Fireflies were notably associated with Bray Wyatt’s entrance, and fans continue to use them as a tribute to Wyatt following his passing.
In response to a post questioning fans’ reception of the “fireflies” in his entrance, Jey Uso took to Twitter stating that fans had no say as the fireflies belonged to him. He then dubbed himself the “Yeeter of Worlds.”
Reflecting on the fans’ reaction at WWE Backlash France, Uso expressed that it felt like Bray Wyatt was showing him affection through the fireflies.
In the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring tournament on the May 13 episode of WWE RAW, Jey Uso will square off against Ilja Dragunov. WrestleZone will provide coverage of the event as it airs on Monday.
Fans recently paid homage to Uso with a “Yeet” gesture at a Cleveland Cavaliers game. For WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H’s take on Uso’s crossover, click here.
