After overcoming a back injury, Thunder Rosa marked her official comeback on the December 23 episode of “AEW Collision.” Since then, the former AEW Women’s Champion has clinched wins against Deonna Purrazzo, Mariah May, and Red Velvet. Speaking on “Busted Open Radio,” Rosa reflected on how each match played a role in rebuilding her confidence.

“Every match following my return has been a learning experience. I can feel my confidence growing, which is vital for any performer,” Rosa stated. “Confidence shines through in your performance. Even a simple move appears more impactful with confidence. I’ve been concentrating on the different facets of professional wrestling, realizing how they contribute to storytelling.”

Expanding on this, Rosa added, “It’s not just about executing moves or techniques. It’s about how you embody your character in interviews and in the ring, crafting the storyline. After spending eight years in television, these components are finally coming together for me.”

In her most recent ring appearance on the May 11 episode of “AEW Collision,” Rosa emerged victorious against Robyn Renegade. While her bid for the AEW Women’s Championship against Toni Storm at AEW Dynasty didn’t end in triumph, Rosa believes viewers got a glimpse of her skills that were previously untapped before her break.
