Glenn Jennings, the manager of WBO junior middleweight champion Tim Tzu, expresses confidence in their ability to defeat Terrence Crawford in a mandatory fight set after Marko’s 30th defense in Las Vegas this Saturday.

Tzu, with a record of 24-0 and 17 KOs, must first face Sebastian Fundora in the Prime PPV headliner before a potential bout with Crawford, unless Crawford decides otherwise.

Crawford is inclined to proceed with the fight against Tszyu due to financial considerations and lack of better payday opportunities at the moment.

If Canelo Alvarez expresses interest, Crawford might opt for a fight with him over Tszyu for a bigger payoff. However, since that scenario seems unlikely, Tszyu remains Crawford’s best chance for a lucrative fight.

Jennings: “We are prepared to win.”

Glenn Jennings affirmed, “If Tim is granted the chance to fight Terrence Crawford, we are confident of emerging victorious in that bout.” This statement was made to Jay McAllister on a YouTube channel.

Given Crawford’s period of inactivity, any critiques of Tszyu’s potential defeat would likely point to ring rust due to a year of limited action from Crawford. Ideally, Crawford would have made adjustments for the Tszyu fight at 154 pounds, yet that remains unfeasible. Tszyu’s next opponent is yet to be determined.

“Crawford has indicated his willingness, which means he can act according to his duty five days post the fight. Negotiations must commence,” Jennings mentioned.

Challenging Perceptions

“The boxing community may assert that Crawford outmatches Tszyu. This has been a common sentiment. They have all voiced similar opinions. Both our team and Terrence Crawford’s believe Tim Tszyu is the premier player at 154 pounds. There’s substantial backing to that claim. We are not just offering empty words,” Jennings affirmed.
