# Tito Sanchez earns shutout victory over Walter Santibanez in Phoenix
Jose “Tito” Sanchez (12-0, 7 KOs) secured a convincing victory over Walter Santibanez (12-3, 2 KOs) of Phoenix, Arizona, in a 10-round featherweight bout. Tito dominated the match, earning scores of 99-91, 99-91, and 98-92. Despite suffering a serious injury to his right middle finger joint in the third round, Tito persevered through the 10 rounds to claim the win.
In the co-main event, Eric Priest (12-0, 8 KOs) of Kansas City, Missouri, delivered an explosive first-round knockout against Paul Mendez (21-5-2, 11 KOs) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Eric attributed his success to the adjustments made after his last fight and credited his training with Ismael Salas in Las Vegas for enhancing his technique.
Jorge Chavez (9-0, 7 KOs) of San Diego secured a victory over Managua, Nicaragua’s Gelson Ortiz (17-10, 8 KOs) by stoppage in a six-round featherweight bout. Ventura’s Ricardo Rubalcaba (11-0-1, 9 KOs) triumphed over Irvin Macias (15-4, 10 KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico in an eight-round welterweight battle, and Fabian Guzman (3-0, 3 KOs) of Orange, California, secured an explosive second-round knockout victory over Ruben Johnson (0-4) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a junior middleweight bout.
