Tom Aspinall is currently seen as the likely winner if he were to face Jon Jones in a fight. Following his impressive performance at UFC 304, Aspinall has become the preferred choice over Jones for a possible UFC heavyweight title unification match. Aspinall further solidified his position as the favorite after defending his interim belt with a quick knockout victory over Curtis Blaydes in just 60 seconds. His odds stand at -150, while Jones is at +130.

Since 2020, Aspinall has maintained an impressive 7-1 record in the UFC heavyweight division, with his sole loss attributed to a knee injury during his initial encounter with Blaydes. Aspinall has conquered various highly ranked UFC heavyweights including Blaydes, Sergei Pavlovich, Marcin Tybura, Alexander Volkov, and Serghei Spivac.

In contrast, Jones, considered one of the greatest light heavyweights in MMA history, has only competed once in the heavyweight division. He secured the vacant UFC heavyweight title by submitting Ciryl Gane in the first round. Jones is anticipated to make his return to the octagon in November to face former champion Stipe Miocic.

Following his victory at UFC 304, Aspinall publicly challenged Jones. However, Jones cryptically replied with a tweet stating, “Supply and demand at its finest, I love it.”
