Tom Aspinall said he’s ready to fight Stipe Miocic if the opportunity arises.

UFC CEO Dana White has publicly mentioned a potential fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic for the next heavyweight title fight.

However, Aspinall revealed that he was offered a fight against Miocic for UFC 300, but Miocic declined the offer.

“My manager was contacted by the UFC and asked if I would like to fight him on April 13th,” Aspinall tweeted. “Of course I accepted. A short time later I was told that Stipe Miocic doesn’t even want to fight me and is only interested in fighting Jon Jones.”

Aspinall, who won the interim UFC heavyweight title in November, expressed frustration with the UFC’s matchmaking process. He said that he will stop complaining and accept the situation.

“On that note. I’m going to stop crying, accept that it’s not going to happen, and enjoy the fight that I and all the other fans want to see,” Aspinall tweeted, showing respect for the potential fight between the legends.

Aspinall also addressed a Twitter exchange with Jon Jones, understanding Jones’ perspective and praising his achievements. He wished Jones a speedy recovery and return to action against Stipe Miocic.
