Super middleweights David Morrell and Sena Agbeko are set to face each other tonight in the main event as Showtime broadcasts the boxing network for the first time in 37 years.
Here are the results of the undercard for tonight’s action:
– Former WBA 140-pound champion Alberto Puello (22-0, 10 KOs) impressively outboxed Hector Madera (11-1, 6 KOs) and won an eight-round unanimous decision with judges’ scores of 80-72, 80-72, and 79-73.
– Middleweight Kyron Davis (18-3-1, 6 KOs) won a close eight-round decision against Crews Stewart (8-3, 6 KOs) with a score of 77-75, 77-75, 77-75.
– Light heavyweight Lawrence King (14-1, 12 KOs) exhibited his power, defeating Alex Teran (23-13, 15 KOs) by fourth-round KO.
– Middleweight Joey Spencer (17-1, 10 KOs) dominated Marcelo Fabian Buzovski (11-25-4) in a one-sided six-round unanimous decision with a score of 60-54.
The main event features Morell (9-0, 8 KOs), the 25-year-old WBA “regular” super middleweight champion, defending his title against Agbeko (28-2, 22 KOs). The event is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET in Minnesota.
Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela (12-2, 8 KOs) will also take on Chris Colbert (17-1, 6 KOs) in a WBA lightweight title eliminator in a 12-round Chief Support bout. Colbert previously defeated Valenzuela by a 10-round split decision.

Morrell had aimed to face “Mexican Monster” David Benavidez at tonight’s Showtime event but was turned down. Benavidez opted to challenge WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol instead.
