As WWE gets closer to the Bad Blood PLE event in early October, reports suggest that Drew McIntyre, one of the event’s major stars, will not be appearing on Monday’s “WWE Raw” in Portland, Oregon. According to PWInsider, McIntyre, who has been in a feud with CM Punk, is not present at the event. McIntyre is slated to face CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. PWI indicates that McIntyre’s absence is a creative decision and unrelated to any injury.
The report also notes that many in WWE had anticipated McIntyre missing last week’s show, but he had to be there for his in-ring segment setting up the cell match. Even though McIntyre won’t be on Monday’s “Raw,” his opponent Punk will be there to discuss their upcoming Hell in a Cell match.
