Ilia Topuria is responding to his critics. Fans are eagerly waiting for the Featherweight champion to make his comeback. Topuria, 27, started 2024 with a bang by knocking out the legendary Alexander Volkanovski in the second round at UFC 297 in February. However, he has not defended his title since then.

There were talks about an immediate rematch for Volkanovski, but the fighter decided to take a break following consecutive knockout losses. This created an opportunity for former champion Max Holloway to emerge as the front runner after his impressive victory and late knockout of Justin Gaethje in the Lightweight division, where he claimed the Baddest Motherf*cker (BMF) title in April 2024.

Despite speculations, there has been little progress towards a potential Topuria vs. Holloway showdown, and tensions rose between the two online recently. Topuria has faced criticism for his handling of potential fights since becoming the champion, and he is no longer willing to tolerate it.

“To all those who doubt me: I’m not bothered by any of you. I don’t care about your opinions,” Topuria expressed in a tweet. “You are projecting your own insecurities onto me. Your jealousy, stemming from your inability to pursue your dreams, is toxic. Keep watching me succeed!”

Topuria has had a perfect 15-fight career so far, with only two wins by decision (eight submissions and five knockouts). He is determined to be the first to defeat “Blessed” if their anticipated fight takes place later this year.
