Andre Lima has a new fighter to contend with at UFC 302. Multiple sources have confirmed that Lima’s new opponent will be Mitch Raposo, who is set to compete in a flyweight bout on June 1 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Raposo will be stepping in for Nyamjargal Tumendemberel, who had to pull out of the match for undisclosed reasons. Raposo, a promising talent from New England, had initially been slated to appear on the upcoming season of the Contender Series before being tapped for the bout against Lima. Lima’s original opponent, Hyun Sung Park, had to withdraw from the fight due to a knee injury. The headline fight of UFC 302 will feature a lightweight title duel between Islam Makhachev and former interim champion Dustin Poirier.
