UFC 306, happening at the Sphere in Las Vegas, promises to stand out with a hefty $20 million investment, setting it apart from any other UFC event. The arena, equipped with wraparound LED screens and top-notch sound systems, will hold its first live sports event with this grand production. The idea to host a UFC event at the Sphere came to UFC CEO Dana White after experiencing a U2 concert there alongside NFL star Tom Brady.

The September event became a reality following a disagreement between UFC and MGM, resulting in the show taking place at the Sphere instead of the usual T-Mobile Arena. For UFC 306, set to honor Mexican Independence Day, there will be six short films showcasing Mexico’s influence on combat sports aired between matches on the main card. Each fight will have its unique “world,” displayed on the curved LED screen inside the arena.

Even though the event comes with a significant price tag and might be a one-off due to the UFC’s established partnership with MGM, White is confident that it will revolutionize the sports and entertainment scene. The UFC has put in more than $20 million to bring White’s vision to life, highlighting the potential for new technologies and advancements in upcoming events.
