Austin Hubbard will be stepping up to take on Alexander Hernandez at UFC 307 as a replacement for Nate Landwehr who withdrew from the event. The highly anticipated UFC pay-per-view is set to take place on October 5 in Salt Lake City. Hubbard shared the news of the opponent change via his social media channels.
Hubbard, who holds a record of 1 win and 1 loss in the UFC following his stint on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, faced a defeat in the TUF 31 lightweight final but redeemed himself with a victory over Michal Figlak at UFC Vegas 91.
Hernandez is aiming to end his current losing streak, having suffered losses in two consecutive fights and four out of his last five matchups. Following his win against Jim Miller, Hernandez fell short in decisions against Bill Algeo and Damon Jackson.
In the main event of UFC 307, fans can look forward to a light heavyweight title bout featuring Alex Pereira squaring off against Khalil Rountree.
