EA Sports Enhances UFC 5 Video Game with a Major Update

The UFC 5 video game by EA Sports has undergone a significant update to coincide with the upcoming UFC 300 pay-per-view event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on April 13, 2024.

Apart from gameplay improvements, UFC 5 will introduce more than 30 new fighters in the coming months, including Kayla Harrison and Michael “Venom” Page.

The update includes tweaks to stamina recovery between rounds, evasion mechanics, attack speed and power adjustments, as well as changes to the grappling and ground game mechanics. The developers are committed to ongoing balancing updates based on user feedback.

Noteworthy gameplay updates include:

Several improvements have been made to various aspects of the game, such as reduced stamina recovery, enhanced evasion mechanics, altered attack speeds, and power adjustments. The update also features changes to grappling mechanics and ground game dynamics for a more engaging experience.

The grappling component has seen enhancements in double-leg and single-leg takedown range and speed, as well as adjustments to stamina costs for transitions. The AI behavior is now more unpredictable and strategic in ground and pound situations.

Additional updates include:

Addition of Aljamain Sterling to the featherweight division, Career Mode improvements, enhanced fitness progression, vanity previews, updated walkout commentary, and new vanity rewards.
