Mexico City – Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega shared a final stare-down before their co-main event fight at UFC Fight Night 237.
Both featherweight contenders, Rodriguez (18-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) and Ortega (15-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC), maintained a respectful demeanor throughout the event. They are set to compete in a five-round co-main event match on Saturday at Mexico City Arena (ESPN+).
Rodriguez and Ortega previously fought in 2022, where the match ended in a close contest. Ortega won by TKO due to an injury sustained by Rodriguez during a grapple. This upcoming fight will mark Ortega’s return after recovering from his shoulder injury.
