Former UFC champion Jiri Prochazka sent a classy message to a cancer patient who is a superfan of his career.

Jiri Prochazka has garnered a massive following around the globe during his time in the UFC, particularly after winning the light heavyweight title in 2022. His unique fighting style, life philosophy, and signature ‘War Hair’ have made him a sensation among combat sports enthusiasts worldwide.

Prochazka is scheduled to make his return to the Octagon at UFC 311, where he will face another former titleholder. In the lead-up to this highly anticipated comeback, a devoted fan of Prochazka sported his iconic hairstyle as she prepared to undergo cancer treatment.

Once the woman’s inspiring story and hairstyle went viral on social media, Prochazka quickly took notice and shared a heartwarming message in response.

In a recent update on social media platform X, Prochazka praised the woman for her tribute to his famous hairstyle, stating, “Every fighter should have warhair.”

As of now, updates regarding the woman’s treatment and recovery remain unclear. She shared her Prochazka-inspired hairdo on the UFC’s Reddit page last weekend, expressing her sentiment: “Lost my hair to chemo – not before celebrating my favorite UFC fighter! Cancer sucks, but you have to make the best of it sometimes! I’ll be rooting for [Prochazka] in January!”

Prochazka is set to compete against former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 next month, marking his first fight since a short-notice knockout loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 303 earlier this year.

During a recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show, Prochazka expressed his desire to obtain the fan’s contact information to connect and support her during her recovery process.

Prochazka’s journey back to the UFC title commences with his upcoming return to the Octagon. He has participated in only a handful of fights despite a four-year tenure with the promotion, debuting at UFC 251, where he defeated Volkan Oezdemir by second-round knockout.

Following a knockout victory over Dominick Reyes, Prochazka contended for the UFC light heavyweight title held by Glover Teixeira at UFC 275. After a thrilling come-from-behind victory in Round 5, Prochazka submitted Teixeira just seconds before potentially losing the fight by decision.

His most recent victory came in April against Aleksandar Rakić, following a defeat to Pereira for the then-vacant title at UFC 295. A strong performance against Hill could pave the way for Prochazka to challenge Pereira for the championship once more.

As Prochazka gears up for his return to the Octagon, he carries the weight of concern for a devoted fan who is bravely fighting her own battle. It is hoped that the two can connect soon.
