During the main event of SummerSlam, Jacob Fatu, one of the WWE Tag Team Champions, suffered a leg injury after performing a top rope splash on Cody Rhodes. He was seen holding his leg and later spotted wearing a walking boot after the event.

Recent updates suggest that WWE officials believe Fatu’s leg injury is not too severe. It is still uncertain if he will miss any in-ring action or continue participating in matches and storylines.

It was revealed that Fatu’s spot through the announcer’s table was intended to write him out of the match. This decision was made to avoid any interaction between Fatu and Roman Reigns, who returned at the end of the event. WWE wanted the focus to remain on Reigns and Solo Sikoa, setting up a potential confrontation on “SmackDown” with the Bloodline members including Fatu, if he is fit to compete.
