Golden Boy Promotions announced today that they have extended the contract of William “El Camarón” Zepeda, who now holds an unbeaten record of 30 wins with 26 knockouts. Zepeda, currently ranked third in the lightweight category by The Ring, also holds high rankings in WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO.
Zepeda expressed his gratitude for the contract extension, saying, “I am very happy and thankful to Golden Boy for giving me this opportunity. I look forward to exciting fights and aiming for a world championship with their backing.”

Originally from San Mateo Atenco, Mexico, Zepeda is known for his entertaining and action-packed approach to boxing. Some of his significant wins include victories against former champions Joseph “JoJo” Diaz and Rene Alvarado and a recent win over Maxi Hughes in a title eliminator bout.
Zepeda’s upcoming fight is set against world title contender Giovanni Cabrera on July 6 at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.
