WWE announced that the next NXT Battleground event will be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

In April 2023, Endeavor Group, the parent company of UFC, acquired WWE. Later in September, WWE and UFC merged to create a new entity named TKO.

Shawn Michaels, the WWE executive overseeing the NXT brand, stated, “We are always seeking new opportunities to showcase NXT and are thrilled to explore new horizons. We are pleased to collaborate with UFC and contribute to this top-tier event and production venue.”

The UFC Apex, which opened in June 2019, became the main location for UFC events during the COVID-19 pandemic when other venues were unavailable. It currently hosts smaller events, including the UFC Fight Night series. Spectator capacity is limited, typically accommodating around 500 people, but with a 2022 permit, UFC can now hold events with up to 1,000 attendees.

The NXT Battleground event was initially planned for Savannah, Georgia, on May 26th, coinciding with AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view in Las Vegas.
